John was born and raised in Burlington, ON Canada.  In 1997 John began attending Lander University in Greenwood, SC where he played baseball for three years.  It was during his junior year of college, that John embraced the truths the Gospel and began walking with Christ.  After graduating with a BS in History / Secondary Education in 2001, John went to work at Mitchell Road Presbyterian Church in Greenville, SC in their college ministry.  This was where John met his wife Kat.  John and Kat were married in 2003.  Three years later, in August of 2006, with their two week old daughter Laine, John and Kat moved to St. Louis to attend Covenant Seminary.  John graduated from Covenant in May 2009.  One month later, in June 2009, John began at Covenant Presbyterian Church as Assistant Pastor, Executive Director of the Schaeffer Fellows Program.  John and Kat have two daughters, Laine and Mead.
