About: Goals, Children's Ministries

Our Goals for Children through the Sixth Grade are that by the end of sixth grade, each covenant child will:

• Have a thorough knowledge of the Bible including:
  • Characters
  • Events
  • Teachings
  • Themes
• Understand the Bible by:
  • Applying God's Word to all of life
  • Studying Scripture in a group and independently
  • Memorizing Scripture
  • Memorizing the Children's Catechism in preparation for memorizing the Westminster Shorter Catechism
  • Memorizing the Westminster Shorter Catechism in total
• Value fellowship and service within the context of the covenant community, demonstrated by:
  • Actively and meaningfully worshiping in the church
  • Eagerly praying with and for others
  • Seeking and maintaining fellowship with other believers
  • Serving a variety of members and ministries of the church
  • Developing cross-generational relationships within the church
• Seek opportunities to reach out and share the Gospel locally and globally
  • Sharing the Gospel with friends
  • Serving in outreach programs and ministries
  • Participating in and supporting missions
