Overview, Women's Ministries

Purpose Statement - the purpose of the Women in the Church is that every Covenant Presbyterian woman know Christ personally and be committed to extending His kingdom in her life, home, church, community and throughout the world.

Goals

• Bible Study
  • to provide opportunities for women to study the Bible
  • to encourage Scripture memorization
  • to encourage corporate and personal engagement in prayer
• Fellowship - to provide fellowship opportunities through Bible study, prayer meetings, and social events for the purpose of building relationships among the women
• Ministry - to provide opportunities for women to minister to the needs of people within Covenant Presbyterian Church, to the community and to the world. Examples of such ministries are:
  • CPC - fold team ministries, women's retreat, spring luncheon, Advent by candlelight, Bible study groups, prayer groups, study groups
  • The Community - mercy ministries, workdays, pro-life events and ministries
  • The World - annual WIC Love Gift, Samaritan's Purse, missionary support
