Tomorrow, Tuesday 11/25/08 is our Thanksgiving chapel at 8:30am. Everyone is welcome! We look forward to seeing you there. The feast is for the 1st-6th graders at lunch time at 11:30. Tuesday is a full day of school for 1st-6th grade and Wednesday-Friday are off days!

In case you were not able to shop on Tuesday 11/18/08, our Bright Idea Toys Fundraiser has been extended until the close of business on Saturday! Please visit Bright Idea Toys and tell them you are with CCS. CCS will get 20% of all sales made through Saturday. It is a great place to get a lot of Christmas shopping done.

On the night of our Auction (February 28, 2009), there will be a program for each attendee describing different auction items and, of course, the evening’s program. Advertising will also be included in this booklet. You can buy these advertising spaces using the form that is on the front page of the website www.cpcstl.org/school. This is an easy way to let the community know about your business, but to also support the school. Thank you for supporting the school through advertising in the CCS auction program!

Dear CCS Families,
Here’s some miscellaneous information for the Barnes and Noble book fair this Friday evening (11/14/08).
*First I want to make sure everyone knows that the book fair has changed location and will be held at the Chesterfield Barnes and Noble located at
1600 Clarkson Rd
Chesterfield, MO 63017
*We have vouchers available to email you that you can email to family and friends so they can participate in our book fair. This is the first year that we’re able to include people from out of state so I’m hoping that many of you will forward this and encourage your family and friends to support our school. They need to print the voucher and bring it to the register when they checkout and a percentage of their purchase will benefit Covenant. This can be used at any Barnes and Noble across the country, but only applies to in-store purchases. Online purchases arel not included.
*There will also be a writer’s workshops that will be offered Friday evening during the book fair. The workshops are for third through sixth grade only and are able to accommodate a maximum of 20 kids. You must sign your child up in advance and the sign-up will be first come, first served. If interested email me at gdejager@charter.net by Wednesday, November 12th.
*Look for a schedule of events to come home this week with your child so you can plan your evening and not miss any of the fun events.
*We’re still in need of volunteers for Friday evening so that we can offer all the planned activities for your children so if you’re able to help please email me at your earliest convenience.

Friday November 7: BACKWARDS DAY (no uniform required)
Friday November 7: Coffee with Dads 8am-8:35am
Location: Edwards House (white house near morning drop off)
Wednesday November 12: Half-Day for all students in the morning.
Dismissal is at 11:30am.
All Pre-K and Kindergarten students will come in the morning.
Friday November 14: Pelican Perks (our teachers and staff will serve you coffee and a treat during morning carpool - you will not even have to leave your car!)
