Student Life
At Covenant Christian School, our call to be Christ-centered directs us to help teach students to view the whole of their world through the lens of scripture, bringing God's Word to bear on every aspect of their lives. Further, we are committed to providing your child with a well-rounded and academically challenging environment in which he or she will be encouraged to discover, develop, and use his or her God-given gifts to the best of his or her abilities for service to God's Kingdom. Therefore, at CCS, opportunities for learning about God's World and sharing the good news of God's grace are varied and extend well beyond the classroom.
In addition to our core academic program, student life at Covenant School includes the following:
- Special Classes devoted to Music, Art, Physical Education, and Foreign Language
- Weekly Chapel in the Covenant Church sanctuary including time for prayer, worship, learning and enthusiastic singing
- Our "Above and Beyond" Enrichment Program for Pre-K4 and Kindergarten students.
- Visits from the St. Louis County Bookmobile
- Field Trips to explore museums, experience plays and musicals, and encounter the work and joys of apple and pumpkin farming
- Service Projects such as our recent nursing home visits and collection for the victims of Hurricane Katrina
- Picnics celebrating the St. Louis Rams (football) and St. Louis Cardinals (baseball) Opening Days
- Parents at Covenant School (PACS) Activities including fellowships and fundraising events
- Participation in musical concerts and school plays
- Special Programs featuring well-know Christian artists such as Dean-O and the Dynamos
