Our vision at Covenant Church is to be a community rooted in God’s grace and reaching out with God’s love.
Deep roots. Wide reach.
Our passion for God’s grace is reflected in an ancient symbol of the atonement which has graced the pulpit of our church for the past 75 years: the ‘pelican-in-her-piety.’ For centuries, this image has reminded Christians of the central importance of Jesus’ atoning work on our behalf. Therefore, the Gospel will be front-and-center to all we do at CPC.
We pursue our vision by gathering for worship (Ephesians 5:19), growing in community (Romans 1:16) and going on mission (2 Corinthians 5:14-15).
We are a congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), a denomination “true to the Scriptures, the reformed faith, and obedient to the Great Commission of Jesus Christ.” We are committed to biblical faith as set forth in part by the Westminster Confession of Faith and the Larger and Shorter Catechisms, but look to the Bible as the ultimate authority. Below is a summary of our core beliefs.
Covenant Presbyterian Church has been a part of the St. Louis community for over seventy-five years. We have a long tradition of enabling people to deal with every area of life by equipping them with the reliable truths of the Bible and providing a place of warm friendship.
