“Bear one another’s burdens,
and so fulfill the law of Christ.”

Galatians 6:2

Christ caring for people through people, is a significant part of the work of the church. At Covenant the aim of our Stephen Ministry is to equip and empower caregivers in the congregation—called Stephen Ministers—to provide high-quality, confidential, Christ-centered care to people who are hurting.

Stephen Ministers undergo an initial 50 hours of training, followed by twice monthly continuing education and peer supervision meetings. We pair our Stephen Ministers with care receivers, people who are hurting or facing challenges, and they meet together in one-on-one, confidential caring relationships for a period of up to one year.

Our Ministry

Our Stephen Ministry is led by Mary Bell, Carol Kappel, Mary Beth McGreevy, Chris Smith, and Linda Yates.

If you think you would benefit

from being paired with a Stephen Minister contact Mary Bell.
